Oppo has officially confirmed that its upcoming Reno 16 series will be launching soon in China, with reservations already open ahead of the unveiling. The announcement was made through the company’s official account on Weibo, signalling that the next-generation Reno lineup is entering its final pre-launch phase.

The Reno 16 series is expected to include at least two models: the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro. These devices are set to succeed the Reno 15 lineup and have already appeared on Oppo’s official online store as well as major Chinese e-commerce platforms such as Tmall, JD.com, Douyin, and Pinduoduo, where users can place early reservations.

As part of the pre-booking campaign, Oppo is offering promotional benefits worth CNY 278 for customers who reserve the devices with a nominal deposit of CNY 1. While the company has not yet revealed full specifications, early leaks suggest that the series could feature MediaTek Dimensity processors along with a high-resolution 200-megapixel primary camera sensor.

Although Oppo has not confirmed an international launch timeline, reports indicate that the Reno 16 series may expand to global markets between July and August. If it follows the same pattern as the Reno 15 series, the phones could later arrive in regions like India after their initial debut in China.

Samsung India Mobile Chief Raju Antony Pullan Steps Down; Aditya Babbar to Reportedly Lead MX Operations

Samsung Electronics India’s mobile business is undergoing a major leadership transition after Raju Antony Pullan stepped down from his role as Senior Vice President and Head of the MX (Mobile Experience) Division. He had been leading the division for over four years and spent nearly 18 years with the company in various leadership roles across sales, operations, and product strategy.

In a post shared on LinkedIn, Pullan confirmed his resignation and reflected on his long career with Samsung India. He noted that his journey included key milestones such as expanding the reach of Galaxy smartphones across Indian households and building stronger sales and operational frameworks for the brand in the country.

During his tenure, Pullan played an important role in strengthening Samsung’s position in the highly competitive Indian smartphone market. His leadership covered multiple responsibilities, including heading sales for the MX division and overseeing supply operations, where he focused on improving efficiency and scaling distribution networks across regions.

Following his departure, reports suggest that Aditya Babbar, who currently serves as Vice President and Head of Product Marketing and E-Commerce within the Mobile Experience division, is expected to take over leadership responsibilities. The change comes at a time when Samsung continues to hold a strong position in India’s smartphone market, consistently ranking as one of the top brands alongside competitors like Apple Inc. and Xiaomi.

Amazon Expands Fast Delivery Network in India With New Micro Warehouses Across Additional Cities

Retail India News: Amazon India Expands Operations to Strengthen Festive Season Deliveries - Indian Retailer

Amazon is significantly expanding its quick commerce footprint in India with the wider rollout of its 10-minute delivery service, Amazon Now. The service, which was earlier limited to a few major cities, is now being extended to 100 cities across the country as part of the company’s aggressive push into ultra-fast delivery.

Amazon Now operates through a network of micro-fulfilment centres (MFCs) located within local neighbourhoods. These compact warehouses are designed to store high-demand everyday items such as groceries, personal care essentials, fashion accessories, beauty products, and small household appliances, enabling rapid order processing and delivery.

With this expansion, Amazon is increasing its infrastructure by setting up around 1,000 micro-fulfilment centres to support faster logistics and wider coverage. The company also claims that this move will benefit over 16,000 farmers by helping them reach customers directly through sellers on its platform, strengthening its supply chain ecosystem.

The service will now be available in cities such as Kochi, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad, in addition to existing metro regions like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Bengaluru. Users can access the feature through the Amazon app by looking for the “Now” icon, which indicates availability in their area, positioning Amazon in stronger competition with players like Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto.
