Apple’s Latest iPad Pro Introduces the New M4 Chip, Marking a Significant Upgrade

Apple introduced its latest flagship tablet, the iPad Pro (2024), during its Let Loose launch event on Tuesday. This new iPad Pro features a groundbreaking ‘Tandem OLED’ screen, marking a departure from the Mini-LED technology seen in the previous-generation Pro model released two years ago. Available in 11-inch and 13-inch display options, the iPad Pro (2024) boasts slimmer bezels compared to its 2022 predecessor. It is powered by Apple’s new M4 chip, offers storage options of up to 2TB, and runs on iPadOS 17 out-of-the-box. Additionally, Apple announced the launch of the Apple Pencil Pro and a new Magic Keyboard tailored for the new iPad Pro.

In terms of pricing and availability in India, the iPad Pro (2024) starts at Rs. 99,900 for the base model with an 11-inch screen and Wi-Fi connectivity. The Wi-Fi + Cellular variant is priced at Rs. 1,19,900. For the 13-inch model, prices start at Rs. 1,29,900 for the Wi-Fi version and Rs. 1,49,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular variant.

Meanwhile, the 13-inch iPad Pro pricing is as follows: Rs. 1,29,900 for 256GB, Rs. 1,49,900 for 512GB, Rs. 1,89,900 for 1TB, and Rs. 2,29,900 for 2TB.

The new Apple Pencil Pro features a new sensor in the stylus’ barrel that adds support for ‘squeeze’ gestures to bring up a tool palette. It is also equipped with a haptic engine for confirmation when certain gestures are used. You can also ‘roll’ the Apple Pencil Pro thanks to a new gyroscope, to change the orientation of shaped tools. Apple says the new accessory also comes with support for Find My network.
