Oppo Reno 15 Series Rumored to Launch with Dimensity 8450 and High-End Features
The Oppo Reno 15 series, expected to succeed the Reno 14 lineup, may include three models—one more than last year’s series. Reports suggest that the standard Reno 15 could come in a compact form factor with a 6.32-inch 1.5K flat display, catering to users who prefer smaller devices. Leaks have also revealed additional specifications such as chipset, camera setup, battery capacity, and IP ratings for the upcoming phones.
Expected Specifications and Models
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, two of the upcoming models are codenamed “R15” and “R15P,” likely representing the Oppo Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro Max. If accurate, the series would include the standard Reno 15, the Reno 15 Pro, and the Pro Max variant. Notably, the standard model is said to adopt a more compact design compared to its predecessor, making it stand out in terms of portability.
Design and Display Features
The Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max is rumored to feature a larger 6.78-inch display, while the standard Reno 15 could retain the 6.32-inch 1.5K flat screen. Both devices are expected to come with a metal frame, with the Pro Max model likely incorporating a glass back for a premium look and feel. Additionally, the series could feature IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, providing durability for everyday use.
Performance and Chipset
Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 15 series is believed to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, delivering high-performance capabilities suitable for gaming, multitasking, and demanding applications. Alongside powerful internals, the phones are expected to feature a sophisticated camera setup, including a potential 200-megapixel rear sensor on the flagship Pro Max, continuing Oppo’s focus on advanced imaging technology.
