Xiaomi Reveals Roll-Out Timeline for HyperOS: Xiaomi 13 and Redmi Note 13 Series to Lead Interface Upgrade

HyperOS Debut: Xiaomi 14 Series Launches in Tandem with Introduction in China

Xiaomi’s strategic move to expand its latest user interface, HyperOS, across a wider array of its smartphones and tablets reflects the company’s commitment to providing users with a seamless and innovative digital experience.

Initially introduced alongside the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro models in late 2023, HyperOS marks a significant evolution from the company’s older MIUI operating system, promising enhanced performance and features. The recent launch of the flagship Xiaomi 14 Ultra, running on the Android-14 based HyperOS out-of-the-box, underscores Xiaomi’s dedication to integrating cutting-edge technology into its product lineup.

During its unveiling at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona, Xiaomi unveiled its ambitious plans to roll out the stable version of HyperOS to a broader range of devices in the coming months. Among the devices slated to receive the update are the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13T, Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12T series, with the rollout scheduled to be completed by June 2024. This concerted effort to extend HyperOS compatibility across multiple product lines underscores Xiaomi’s aim to ensure a consistent and optimized user experience across its ecosystem of devices.

Furthermore, Xiaomi’s inclusion of select Redmi phones, such as the Redmi Note 13 5G and the Redmi Note 12 5G series, in the HyperOS update roadmap highlights the company’s commitment to democratizing advanced technology and features across its brand portfolio.

 

 

By bringing HyperOS to a wider range of devices, Xiaomi aims to empower users with enhanced performance, intuitive user interfaces, and a host of innovative features tailored to meet the evolving demands of modern smartphone users.

The Xiaomi and Redmi models set to receive the HyperOS update by June 2024 are – Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 13T, Xiaomi 13T Pro, Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12T, Xiaomi 12T Pro, Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G.

Among other devices, the recently launched Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro, Xiaomi Watch S3, and Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro run HyperOS out-of-the-box. Older tablets like the Xiaomi Pad 6 and the Redmi Pad SE are also confirmed to get the HyperOS update within June this year. Notably, the base Xiaomi 14 handset is scheduled to launch in India on March 7. The Indian variant of the model is likely to share similar specifications as its Chinese counterpart.
