Red Magic 10 Air Launches with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Massive 6,000mAh Battery: All You Need to Know
Red Magic has expanded its smartphone lineup with the launch of the Red Magic 10 Air, targeting gamers and power users across select global markets. This latest addition follows the Red Magic 10 Pro and Pro+ variants launched in China in late 2024. The Red Magic 10 Air is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, complemented by Red Magic’s in-house RedCore R3 chip, which is tailored to optimize gaming performance. The phone also features an advanced nine-layer ICE-X cooling system, ensuring sustained performance during heavy use.
Designed for gamers, the Red Magic 10 Air includes unique hardware additions such as shoulder triggers with a 520Hz response rate, RGB lighting, and a dedicated Magic Key for quick actions. The phone boasts a large 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,116×2,480 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultra-responsive 2,000Hz touch sampling rate. Its panel also supports up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, making it both visually stunning and durable.
The Red Magic 10 Air doesn’t compromise on battery life either. It is backed by a hefty 6,000mAh battery that supports 80W wired fast charging, ensuring minimal downtime between gaming sessions. For photography, the device includes a dual rear camera setup with two 50-megapixel sensors — one standard and one ultrawide — while the front houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera suitable for video calls and live streaming.
In terms of pricing and variants, the Red Magic 10 Air starts at $499 (approximately Rs. 42,600) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. A higher-end 16GB + 512GB version is available for $649 (roughly Rs. 55,400). Color options include Hailstone (white), Twilight (black), and a striking Flare (orange) exclusive to the top-tier variant. Running on RedMagicOS 10 based on Android 15, the Red Magic 10 Air blends powerful hardware with a tailored software experience aimed squarely at the gaming community.
