GovDash seeks to assist businesses in leveraging AI to secure government contracts

Tim Goltser and Curtis Mason’s entrepreneurial journey began in high school when they led their school’s robotics team. Their collaboration continued into college, where they developed an app called Hang with Sean Doherty, whom Mason had met at Boston University. Years later, in 2022, the trio decided to address a neglected market: assisting small businesses in securing U.S. government contracts.

They recognized that the federal contracting landscape presented significant challenges for small businesses, including fierce competition from industry giants and the high costs associated with bidding on contracts. With complex processes and extensive paperwork involved, the path to securing government contracts was daunting and time-consuming, often favoring well-funded companies.

To alleviate these obstacles, Goltser, Mason, and Doherty founded GovDash, a platform offering workflows to streamline government contract capture, proposal development, and management. GovDash, accepted into Y Combinator in 2022, leverages generative AI to automate the proposal writing process, saving businesses time and resources.

GovDash aims to help businesses use AI to land government contracts

The platform scans solicitation documents to identify contract requirements, formats, evaluation criteria, and submission deadlines. Additionally, it assists businesses in identifying contracts they are qualified for based on past performance, sending alerts to users’ inboxes. GovDash aims to empower small businesses by simplifying the complex process of pursuing government contracts, ultimately increasing their competitiveness in the market.
