Apple releases Final Cut Pro for iPad and Final Cut Camera
Apple has unveiled Final Cut Pro for iPad 2 and Final Cut Camera. Final Cut Pro for iPad 2 is optimized for the new iPad Pro with an M4 chip, offering faster rendering and more streams of ProRes RAW. It introduces “Live Multicam” for wireless connection and preview of up to four cameras, supported by the Final Cut Camera app for manual control and syncing angles.
Final Cut Camera serves as a standalone recording app, allowing extensive manual adjustments like focus and ISO. Final Cut Pro for Mac 10.8 updates include AI-driven features for color correction (“Enhance Light and Color”) and smoother slow-motion effects (“Smooth Slo-Mo”).
Updates are available for existing users for free, while new users can subscribe to Final Cut Pro for iPad 2 at $4.99 per month or $49 per year. Final Cut Pro for Mac 10.8 is priced at $299.99 on the Mac App Store.
