One UI 8 Beta on Android 16 Now Live for Select Galaxy Devices in South Korea and UK
Samsung has officially begun rolling out its Android 16-based One UI 8 beta update for select Galaxy devices, giving users early access to the upcoming software. The beta is currently available for the Galaxy S24 series, which includes the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. In addition to these, last year’s foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, are also receiving the update in select regions. The rollout includes the August security patch, enhancing the devices’ security along with new features. Samsung plans to expand the beta programme to additional Galaxy S series, Galaxy A series, and foldable devices in the coming weeks.
Users in the UK and South Korea have started receiving the One UI 8 beta for the Galaxy S24 series. Firmware versions for the UK rollout include S926BXXU9ZYH3, S926BOXM9ZYH3, and S926BXXU9CYH3, as reported by early adopters on X (formerly Twitter). The update allows users to experience new Android 16 features ahead of the stable release and provides Samsung with feedback to refine the software.

The One UI 8 beta update is sizable, around 3.2GB, and comes with detailed release notes highlighting the inclusion of the August security patch. The update introduces UI enhancements, improved customization options, and optimized performance for supported devices. Samsung is leveraging the beta programme to ensure that bugs and glitches are addressed before the official public rollout.
For foldable device owners, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 beta testers in South Korea are also seeing the first One UI 8 beta. Enrolled users will receive the August security patch alongside the beta features. The rollout demonstrates Samsung’s continued commitment to providing timely software updates and extending Android 16 features to both new and existing devices in its ecosystem.
