Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 1 Launches with New Maps, Drivable Trains, Zombies Story Mission, and More

Season 1 Introduces Assassin Vest Perk for Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer, Offering Immunity to UAV and Radar Scans

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone have ushered in Season 1 with a substantial multiplayer update. Modern Warfare 3 receives three new maps in its 24/7 playlist, accompanied by a 6v6 arena set in Rio, available later in the season.

Players can earn rewards for killstreaks, including an EMP at a 13 killstreak and the ability to summon mosquito swarms for cover at 15 killstreaks. An intriguing addition is the Assassin Vest perk, providing immunity to UAV scans and preventing skulls from appearing on the minimap during executions.

The three new maps transport players to a coastal town in ‘Greece,’ a close-quarters slaughterhouse named ‘Meat,’ and a ‘Training Facility’ within a warehouse for 2v2 gunfights. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 reintroduces two fan-favorite modes – All or Nothing and standard round-based Gunfight. Ranked Play is set to arrive later in the season, along with promotional skins for the film Dune: Part 2 and an in-game event called ‘Trial of Power.’

In Warzone, the battle-royale mode, the Urzikstan map is now live, featuring a greyish metropolis blending Middle Eastern and European aesthetics.

The map introduces unique traversal mechanics, including horizontal ziplines and a drivable train, giving players more options for movement. A symmetrical 1v1 Gulag named ‘Silo’ and a story mission in the Zombies mode are also part of the update.

Season 1 unveils a new battle pass with weapon unlocks like XRX Stalker, RAM-7, and Stormender. The roadmap hints at Christmas-themed events, game modes, and a skin for A-Train from The Boys series on Amazon Prime Video.

The update is live on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X, offering an expansive and engaging experience for Call of Duty enthusiasts.
