Visual Brilliance: iQoo Neo 9 Pro Rumored to Boast a 6.78-inch OLED Display Sporting a Swift 144Hz Refresh Rate

The iQoo Neo 9 Pro is gearing up for an official debut in China later this month alongside its counterpart, the iQoo Neo 9. Anticipation is building following the recent design teasers shared by the Vivo sub-brand on Weibo. Ahead of the official launch, a notable Chinese tipster has spilled the beans on key specifications for the iQoo Neo 9 Pro. According to the leak, the upcoming smartphone is set to be powered by MediaTek’s robust Dimensity 9300 SoC and is poised to feature an impressive 144Hz refresh rate display. Not stopping there, the phone is rumored to support rapid 120W fast charging, adding another layer of appeal.

Digital Chat Station, the trusted tipster (translated from Chinese), took to Weibo to reveal the alleged specifications of the iQoo Neo 9 Pro. The leak suggests a 6.78-inch OLED display boasting a sharp 1.5K resolution and an elevated 144Hz refresh rate. This represents a step up from its predecessor, the iQoo Neo 8 Pro, which offered a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The upcoming handset is expected to run on Android 14-based OriginOS 4.

Under the hood, the iQoo Neo 9 Pro is slated to feature MediaTek’s cutting-edge Dimensity 9300 mobile chip. In the camera department, the leak hints at a dual rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 primary sensor and a secondary 50-megapixel sensor. For selfies and video calls, users can anticipate a 16-megapixel front camera. While the battery capacity remains a mystery, the phone is rumored to support an impressive 120W fast charging capability. The inclusion of an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication rounds out the anticipated features of this upcoming device, adding to the excitement surrounding the iQoo Neo 9 Pro’s imminent release.

Further, the iQoo Neo 9 Pro could arrive with the company’s self-developed Q1 chip for enhanced gaming. The Q1 gaming chip debuted with the iQoo 12 series last month.

iQoo recently teased the arrival of iQoo Neo 9 series in December without disclosing the exact launch date. It is confirmed to offer a dual-tone design.

The regular iQoo Neo 9 is tipped to run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage. It is expected to ship with Android 14-based FunTouchOS 14 or OriginOS 4 based on the region.
