Brevian is a no-code enterprise platform designed for constructing AI agents

Brevian, based in Sunnyvale, is aiming to simplify the process of building custom AI agents for business users, with a focus on support teams and security analysts initially. The company, which has emerged from stealth mode, is announcing a $9 million seed funding round today, as revealed exclusively.

Founded by Vinay Wagh (CEO) and Ram Swaminathan (CTO), Brevian brings together expertise from different backgrounds. Wagh, previously a product director at Databricks and head of products at Bracket Computing, has experience in preparing companies for enterprise sales and launching serverless products. He recognized the potential for AI applications in the enterprise, particularly in light of advancements like ChatGPT, and identified a need for solutions to bridge existing gaps in the market.

Swaminathan’s background is in computer science and machine learning, with stints in academia, Bell Labs, HP Labs, and LinkedIn’s AI trust team. His expertise complements Wagh’s, providing Brevian with a strong foundation in both data and machine learning.

The inspiration for founding Brevian came from recognizing the potential of AI in the enterprise and identifying the need to address critical missing pieces to ensure the successful implementation of AI solutions. The founders saw an opportunity to leverage their combined expertise to develop a platform that addresses these challenges and empowers business users to build custom AI agents tailored to their specific needs.
