Acer Introduces AI-Powered TransBuds Ear-Hook Earphones at Computex 2025

Acer Unveils AI TransBuds with Ear-Hook Design and Real-Time Translation at Computex 2025

At Computex 2025, Acer introduced its latest innovation in audio technology — the AI TransBuds true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones. Alongside other new products like the Acer FreeSense Ring and a range of e-mobility solutions including e-scooters and e-bikes, the AI TransBuds stood out with their distinctive ear-hook design and sleek black finish. Designed to enhance communication, these earphones come equipped with AI-powered live translation capabilities supporting 15 major languages spoken across Asia, the Americas, and Europe. While Acer has revealed many features, the exact launch date and availability remain undisclosed.

The AI TransBuds are designed to be lightweight and compact, crafted from durable ABS plastic. Each earbud measures approximately 16.5×37.7×42.5mm, fitting comfortably with a secure ear-hook form factor. The charging case, which houses both earbuds, weighs 65.1 grams and measures 74.9×59.5×29.2mm, making it portable and easy to carry. Connectivity is facilitated through Bluetooth 5.4, and the earphones come with a plug-in receiver for seamless pairing with smartphones or tablets.

One of the standout features of the Acer AI TransBuds is their AI-backed real-time, two-way voice translation. This functionality uses advanced speech recognition and semantic analysis to provide accurate translations during live conversations. For optimal performance, only one person in the conversation needs to wear the earbuds, which also support live captioning and transcription. This makes them ideal for a variety of settings, including casual conversations, business meetings, online study sessions, and livestreams. Additionally, users can review and revisit multilingual conversations later thanks to the transcription feature.

Supporting 15 languages including Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and more, Acer’s AI TransBuds aim to break down language barriers in real time. Each earbud houses a 50mAh battery, while the charging case contains a 400mAh cell and charges via USB Type-C. With their innovative design and intelligent translation features, the AI TransBuds represent Acer’s commitment to blending cutting-edge AI with practical, everyday tech solutions for global users.

Acer Debuts FreeSense Smart Ring with AI Health Tracking, Available in Seven Sizes

Acer Unveils FreeSense Smart Ring with AI Health Tracking at Computex 2025

At Computex 2025 in Taipei, Acer introduced the FreeSense Ring, its first venture into the smart wearable space. This AI-powered health-tracking ring marks a significant expansion beyond Acer’s traditional computing lineup. Designed with a titanium alloy body, the FreeSense Ring is available in two finishes—matte Black and glossy Rose Gold—and comes in seven different sizes to ensure a comfortable fit for a wide range of users. The device is built for durability, boasting both IP68 dust and water resistance and a 5 ATM rating, which makes it suitable for underwater use up to 50 meters.

Although Acer has yet to announce pricing or specific launch dates, the company has confirmed that the FreeSense Ring will not require a subscription to access its full suite of health features. This could be a key differentiator in a market increasingly leaning toward paywalled wellness services. With competitors like the Oura Ring 4 and Samsung Galaxy Ring already drawing attention, Acer’s entry signals a growing interest in compact, sensor-rich health devices.

The FreeSense Ring includes a comprehensive set of biometric sensors to track key health metrics. These include heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), and sleep quality. All captured data is processed via a dedicated companion app, which uses AI to interpret the information and provide personalized health recommendations. The app also offers sleep stage tracking to help users understand their nightly rest patterns and recovery trends over time.

In terms of hardware, the ring ranges in size from 7 to 13, with weights starting at just 2 grams for smaller sizes and increasing slightly to 3 grams for larger models. It features vacuum plating and PVD coating to enhance durability without compromising on aesthetics. Acer emphasized that its AI-powered insights will be accessible without recurring fees, positioning the FreeSense Ring as a potentially attractive alternative for users seeking a powerful yet cost-effective wearable health companion.
