Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Campaign Will Not Feature Early Access Prior to Official Release

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is slated for release on October 25, with anticipation building after the completion of its multiplayer open beta. The open beta, which concluded on Monday, started on September 6, allowing players to experience the multiplayer mode. However, those who pre-ordered the game had the advantage of early access to the multiplayer open beta from August 30 to September 4. Despite the excitement surrounding the game, Activision has confirmed that there will be no early access to the campaign before the official launch.
No Early Access for Black Ops 6 Campaign In a statement sent to Charlie Intel, a popular Call of Duty news source, Activision clarified its stance on early access for the Black Ops 6 campaign. The publisher reportedly stated that there would be no early access for any of the game’s modes—Campaign, Multiplayer, or Zombies. This decision differs from recent Call of Duty titles where players had early access to the campaign before the official release date.
Activision’s Focus on Launch Day The publisher emphasized its focus on the full launch of the game. “The team is fully focused on October 25th. We are excited about all the game has to offer across Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies,” Activision was quoted as saying. The decision to withhold early access for all modes suggests that the company is aiming for a unified launch experience.
The statement confirms that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will have a single global launch for all players on October 25, with no early access period for the Campaign for players who have pre-ordered the game.
This marks a change from last year, when Activision granted a week of early access period for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The game launched globally across PC, PlayStation and Xbox on November 10, 2023, but players who digitally preordered or pre-purchased Modern Warfare 3 received campaign early access from November 2.
