Unannounced Redmi Smartphone Clears IMDA Certification Ahead of Expected Debut
Redmi appears to be preparing another smartphone for launch just weeks after introducing the Redmi K90 Ultra. While Xiaomi has yet to reveal any official details about the upcoming device, a new certification listing suggests that a fresh Redmi handset is moving closer to its debut. The smartphone has now surfaced on Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) database, hinting that an official announcement may not be far away.
The certification was first spotted by The Tech Outlook and identifies the unannounced Redmi smartphone with the model number 2607FRNEAG. Although the listing does not disclose the commercial name of the device, it confirms that the handset is registered under the Redmi brand, with Xiaomi Electronics Pte. Ltd. listed as the supplier.
As is often the case with early certification listings, the IMDA database reveals only limited information. However, it confirms several connectivity features expected on the device, indicating support for modern wireless standards ahead of its official launch. These regulatory approvals typically mark one of the final steps before a smartphone is introduced in global markets.
At this stage, Xiaomi has not shared any specifications, launch timeline, or branding details for the mystery Redmi phone. More information is expected to emerge through additional certifications and leaks in the coming weeks, which should provide a clearer picture of where the device will fit within Redmi’s expanding smartphone lineup.
