Huawei Pura X2 Set to Debut in China Featuring 7.69-Inch Foldable Display

Huawei Pura X2 foldable leak reveals major size revamp - Huawei Central

The Huawei Pura X2 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated foldable smartphones of the year. Following the launch of the Huawei Pura X in March 2025, which arrived with the powerful Kirin 9010 chipset and a long-lasting 4,720mAh battery, attention has quickly shifted to its next-generation successor. Although Huawei has not yet made any official announcements, industry insiders and technology tipsters have already begun revealing possible details about the upcoming device. These early leaks suggest that the Pura X2 will bring significant upgrades in both performance and design.

According to recent reports, the Huawei Pura X2 is expected to feature a large 7.69-inch WQHD+ folding display, offering users an immersive tablet-like experience when unfolded. In addition, the device is rumored to include a 5.5-inch external cover screen, allowing for convenient use even when the phone is closed. Under the hood, the smartphone may be powered by an upgraded Kirin 9030 processor, continuing Huawei’s tradition of using its own advanced in-house chipsets. These enhancements indicate that the Pura X2 could deliver smoother performance and better energy efficiency than its predecessor.

Camera improvements are also likely to be a major highlight of the new foldable. Leaks suggest that Huawei plans to equip the Pura X2 with a telephoto lens as part of a quad-camera system, making it more capable for professional-level photography and zoom performance. The phone is also rumored to run on HarmonyOS 6.1, Huawei’s latest operating system, which is expected to introduce new features and optimizations tailored specifically for foldable devices. With competitors like Samsung and Apple reportedly developing their own wide folding smartphones, Huawei appears determined to stay ahead in this rapidly growing market.

In terms of memory and storage, the Huawei Pura X2 is tipped to arrive in a wide range of configurations to suit different user needs. Possible variants include 12GB, 16GB, and even 20GB of RAM, paired with storage options ranging from 256GB up to 1TB. The device is also expected to launch in several stylish color choices such as white, orange, green, blue, black, and purple, giving consumers plenty of personalization options. While an official release date has not yet been confirmed, the steady flow of leaks strongly suggests that the Huawei Pura X2 could make its debut in China in the near future.

Huawei-Backed Aito Enters Middle East With UAE Dealer Deal

Chinese automaker Seres said its electric vehicle brand Aito has signed an agreement with Abu Dhabi-based dealer group Performance Plus Motors to begin sales in the United Arab Emirates, marking the brand’s first export move outside China. The partnership gives Aito an initial foothold in the Middle East as it looks to expand beyond China’s highly competitive EV market.

Performance Plus Motors, a unit of Abu Dhabi Motors, will handle sales, delivery and after-sales service of Aito’s luxury intelligent vehicles in the UAE. Seres did not provide a timeline for the official launch, but said vehicles have already arrived at Dubai port and test drives of the flagship Aito 9 SUV are underway.

Aito is the most successful brand under Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance and has rapidly grown in China. Seres said the UAE agreement represents a key step in Aito’s globalization strategy, with plans for broader Middle Eastern expansion that could support entry into neighboring markets.

Previously sold only in China, Aito showcased its global lineup at the Munich car show last September. The brand sold more than 420,000 vehicles in 2025, becoming the main growth driver for Seres, whose total EV sales rose more than 10% last year.
