Huawei Unveils Nova Flip S With 4,400mAh Battery and 2.14-Inch Cover Screen
Huawei Launches Nova Flip S With Large Battery and Foldable Display
Huawei has officially launched the Nova Flip S in China, offering a more affordable alternative to the Nova Flip introduced in August 2024. While maintaining many of the same features as its predecessor, the Nova Flip S brings two new color options and a slightly lower price point, making it an attractive choice for foldable smartphone enthusiasts. The device is powered by a 4,400mAh battery and features a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup alongside a 32-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
The foldable clamshell design of the Nova Flip S includes a 6.94-inch main foldable OLED display paired with a 2.14-inch cover screen for quick notifications and basic interactions. Both screens feature rounded corners, with the cover screen offering a 480×480-pixel resolution, while the main internal screen supports full HD+ resolution (2690×1136 pixels). The handset is expected to run on the Kirin 8000 chipset, similar to the standard Nova Flip variant.
Pricing and Color Options
The Nova Flip S is priced at CNY 3,388 (approximately Rs. 41,900) for the 256GB model, while the 512GB variant costs CNY 3,688 (around Rs. 45,600). Huawei has introduced six color options, including New Green, Zero White, Sakura Pink, Star Black, Sky Blue, and Feather Sand Black, catering to a wide range of aesthetic preferences.
Display and Performance Features
The main OLED display supports the P3 wide color gamut, 120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate, ensuring smooth visuals and responsive touch performance. Combined with the secondary cover screen, the Nova Flip S delivers a versatile and user-friendly foldable experience, suitable for both productivity and entertainment on the go.
