Redmi is gearing up to launch its next flagship smartphone, the Redmi K90 Ultra, in China as the successor to last year’s Redmi K80 Ultra. While the official launch date has not yet been confirmed, leaks suggest that Xiaomi may unveil additional devices alongside the new K series phone. Rumours indicate that the Redmi K90 Ultra will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC and feature a large 8,500mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging, promising strong performance and long-lasting usage.
In addition to the smartphone, Xiaomi is reportedly planning to introduce a compact tablet and a new lineup of laptops during the same event. Tipster Digital Chat Station shared on Weibo that the Redmi K Pad 2 and the upcoming Redmi laptops will accompany the K90 Ultra launch later this month. This move reflects Xiaomi’s strategy to expand its ecosystem of devices, offering consumers more options across multiple categories, from mobile to computing.
The Redmi K Pad 2 is expected to feature an LCD panel, making it a mid-range option for users looking for a portable tablet experience. While detailed specifications remain scarce, the addition of a tablet alongside the K90 Ultra suggests that Xiaomi aims to provide a cohesive experience for users who want a combination of productivity and entertainment across devices. The simultaneous launch could also help strengthen brand presence in both smartphone and PC segments.
Overall, the Redmi K90 Ultra launch is shaping up to be a major event for Xiaomi, with multiple product announcements expected. By pairing a high-end smartphone with a new tablet and laptop offerings, the company is likely targeting tech enthusiasts and loyal Redmi users who seek a connected ecosystem. Fans of the brand can anticipate several product reveals, making this one of the more significant launch events of the month.
