Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip to Feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC

Xiaomi’s next-generation foldable smartphones, the Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip, are anticipated to be officially launched later this year. A recent leak has provided insights into the camera specifications of these upcoming devices. According to the leak, both models will feature a 50-megapixel main camera accompanied by a telephoto sensor. Additionally, these foldables are expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

The leak, shared by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo (translated from Chinese), suggests that Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip will debut in the third quarter of this year. This timing aligns with previous launch schedules, as the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 was released in August 2023. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset is expected to power both smartphones, ensuring robust performance. Both models are also rumored to feature a lightweight build and similar camera configurations.

The Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip are tipped to include a 50-megapixel primary sensor with a 1/1.55-inch size and optical image stabilization (OIS). Additionally, they will feature an Omnivision OV60A 2x telephoto sensor with a 1/2.8-inch size. The Mix Fold 4 is expected to have extra camera capabilities, including a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 10-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x zoom.

Further enhancing its appeal, the Mix Fold 4 is rumored to come with an IP rating, indicating some level of water and dust resistance. It is also expected to support wireless charging, adding to its convenience and modern feature set.
