Higgsfield AI Launches Diffuse App: Transform Images into Videos on Your Smartphone

Introducing Diffuse: Transform Your Selfies into Character-Focused Videos with Higgsfield AI’s New App

Higgsfield AI, a video AI company, has launched its first artificial intelligence (AI)-powered app for smartphones. Dubbed Diffuse, this mobile-first app is an image-to-video generator that can use a selfie to turn it into a video featuring the character. The company claims that the character it creates comes with lifelike motion. The app is being gradually rolled out to select markets and users will be able to find the app on both Android and iOS. This AI tool will likely compete with OpenAI’s Sora, which is reported to be launched later this year.

The company’s official account took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to make the announcement. Higgsfield AI introduced itself as a video AI company which is focused on creating video content for social media. This vision likely comes from the CEO of the AI firm, Alex Mashrabov, who was previously leading the generative AI division at Snap. As per the post, the company is building a foundational model from scratch for its tools which will be entirely video-focused.

Higgsfield AI’s move into the smartphone app space reflects the growing demand for AI-powered tools that enhance creativity and storytelling capabilities on mobile devices. By leveraging the power of AI, Diffuse aims to democratize video creation, allowing users to transform their selfies into dynamic character-focused videos with ease.

The lifelike motion generated by Diffuse underscores the advancements in AI technology, particularly in the realm of computer vision and animation. As users increasingly seek immersive and engaging content for social media platforms, apps like Diffuse provide a novel way to express creativity and connect with audiences.

With its focus on video content for social media, Higgsfield AI is tapping into a lucrative market driven by the rise of short-form video platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels. By offering a user-friendly interface and intuitive features, Diffuse has the potential to become a popular tool among content creators and social media enthusiasts.

As competition in the AI app space heats up, companies like Higgsfield AI are poised to innovate and iterate on their offerings to stay ahead of the curve. By continuously refining its algorithms and expanding its feature set, Diffuse aims to establish itself as a go-to platform for creating captivating video content on smartphones.

For this, it is building its foundational model from scratch. The video model uses transformer architectures, which are also used by OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Higgsfield AI further highlights that it was able to efficiently train its AI model on limited GPUs due to a proprietary framework developed in-house. The company has not revealed when it might release the full version of the app in public.
