Acer Iconia X12 Powered by 10,000mAh Battery with Fast Charging Support

Acer has officially unveiled the Iconia X12 tablet at the Acer Global Press Conference (GPC) 2024, ahead of IFA in Berlin. This new tablet is designed to cater to users seeking a premium entertainment and productivity device, with a sleek design and powerful specifications. The Iconia X12 will be launched in select global markets starting in January 2025. Featuring a 12.1-inch AMOLED display and powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, this device is expected to offer a smooth and versatile user experience.

The Acer Iconia X12 is designed for users who prioritize display quality, as it comes with a 12.6-inch 2.5K WQXGA AMOLED display. With a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, the screen supports up to 60Hz refresh rate and can achieve a peak brightness of 400 nits. This makes it ideal for content consumption, whether for watching high-definition videos or browsing. Acer has also ensured that the tablet supports a stylus pen, which enhances its usability for note-taking, sketching, and other creative tasks.

Powering the device is the octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, a mid-range processor known for delivering decent performance while maintaining energy efficiency. Paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, the Acer Iconia X12 is equipped to handle multitasking, gaming, and media consumption with ease. Users will also benefit from the option to expand storage via microSD, allowing for additional space for apps, files, and media.

On the camera front, the Acer Iconia X12 is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera, which provides reasonable quality for quick captures and video conferencing. While tablets typically aren’t known for their camera prowess, Acer has included a quad-speaker setup, designed to enhance the multimedia experience by providing clear and immersive audio.

In terms of build, the tablet boasts an aluminium chassis, giving it a premium and sturdy feel while remaining relatively lightweight. One of the standout features of the Iconia X12 is its 10,000mAh battery, which supports fast charging. This should provide long hours of usage, making it suitable for both work and play. Paired with a detachable Bluetooth keyboard, the tablet can easily transition into a portable productivity machine, especially with its Android 14 operating system.

The price of the Acer Iconia X12 is set at $349 (roughly Rs. 29,300), EUR 369 (roughly Rs. 34,400), or CNY 2,688 (roughly Rs. 31,800). It will be available starting in January 2025 across North America, the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), and China. However, there has been no official confirmation about the tablet’s release in India. As Acer gears up for its global release, the Iconia X12 appears to be a well-rounded device with a mix of productivity and entertainment features that make it a solid option in the mid-range tablet segment.
