Alleged Leak: GTA 5 Source Code, GTA 6 Details, and Bully 2 Files Supposedly Revealed

Rockstar Games is facing yet another purported leak, with reports circulating about the alleged disclosure of the entire Grand Theft Auto 5 source code. Alongside this leak, rumors suggest the exposure of GTA 6 codes and files related to a speculated sequel to Rockstar’s 2006 hit, Bully. Adding intrigue to this situation, recent news highlights the sentencing of a hacker involved in leaking GTA 6 gameplays last year, sentenced to indefinite hospital prison.

Additionally, the premature reveal of the GTA 6 trailer, occurring 15 hours before the scheduled release, was reportedly a response to an earlier leak that prematurely disseminated the trailer online.

Notable YouTuber SKizzleAXE shared screenshots from the leak, displaying the GTA 5 source code, which notably presented an early version of the game’s map. These leaked materials also suggest that GTA 6 was previously codenamed “Project Americas.” Furthermore, details regarding a Bully 2 file have surfaced, fueling anticipation among fans who have long speculated about a sequel to the 2006 Bully title.

Amidst these revelations, Gaming Detective (@that1detectiv3) shared concerns on X, highlighting that the complete scope of the leak remains uncertain. They anticipate possible technical repercussions, potentially leading to game launch delays, particularly for highly anticipated releases such as GTA 6. As of now, Rockstar Games has not issued any public statement regarding this reported leak.

In what’s deemed a significant event in gaming history, teenage hacker Arion Kurtaj leaked over 90 videos back in September 2022, marking one of the most extensive breaches in gaming. However, recent legal developments have led to Kurtaj’s sentencing to an indefinite period in a hospital prison, a decision reached following a mental assessment.

Fast forward to November of this year, another leak emerged, this time divulging a database file from GTA 5. Notably, the leaked data contained references to Trevor, one of the game’s central protagonists, along with hints regarding a jet pack. Moreover, strings associated with Bully 2, a speculated sequel that has long circulated in gaming discussions, were also disclosed. Despite prior rumors suggesting a 2018 release, there has been no official announcement from developers regarding Bully 2’s launch, leaving fans eagerly anticipating any forthcoming updates.
