Apple Music unveils monthly version of Replay

Apple Music has unveiled a monthly iteration of its Replay feature, an annual recap providing users with insights into their top songs, artists, albums, and more. Commencing today, users can now access their monthly music habits, offering them enhanced visibility into their listening patterns.

The comprehensive experience is accessible through the website replay.music.apple.com and necessitates an Apple ID for login. Alongside showcasing top tracks, subscribers can track their monthly listening time, with Apple Music notifying them upon reaching significant milestones, such as total minutes played. Users also have the option to share their Replay insights with family and friends, as well as revisit monthly and yearly statistics in Apple Music’s archive. Notably, Apple specifies that only users who “listen to enough music” will receive monthly stats.

This introduction of a monthly version likely aims to bolster Apple Music’s competitive stance against Spotify Wrapped, which introduced several new features in 2023, including Spotify’s AI DJ and a feature matching users with a city based on their listening history.

Furthermore, Apple’s Replay Mix playlist for 2024 is now accessible in the Apple Music app. This personalized playlist represents a compilation of the user’s top songs of the year and will be updated on a weekly basis.
