Itel is gearing up for the imminent launch of the Itel A70 in India, aiming to introduce a unique proposition by offering the smartphone with either 128GB or 256GB of built-in storage, as revealed in a recent report. Alongside details about its storage variants, leaked images of the device have emerged online, showcasing its design in four distinct color options and unveiling a display housing a sizable notch to accommodate the selfie camera module.
Notably, the Itel A70 is poised to carve a niche in the market as the pioneering handset in its price range to present a generous 256GB of storage, all under the Rs. 8,000 price mark.
According to information from undisclosed sources reported by 91Mobiles, the Itel A70 is slated to become the maiden smartphone in India priced below Rs. 8,000 offering a substantial 256GB internal storage. Additionally, the device is expected to boast 12GB of RAM, inclusive of 4GB allocated as virtual RAM, leveraging unused storage space on the phone to function as virtual memory.
The leaked image featured the Itel A70 in four vibrant color variations, indicating the successor to the Itel A60 will be available in green, light blue, blue, and yellow. Furthermore, the image reiterated the speculation about the availability of the smartphone in both 128GB and 256GB storage configurations, reaffirming the options that users can anticipate.
The visual leaks of the Itel A70 portray a smartphone design featuring a substantial chin and thick bezels encompassing all other edges. Notably, a conspicuous display notch occupies the screen’s real estate, housing both the selfie camera and a dedicated front-facing LED flash. The leaked images also showcase the placement of the power and volume buttons along the right spine, with the left side seemingly hosting only a SIM tray, indicating a simplistic layout.
As of now, Itel has not officially disclosed any launch date or confirmed the specifications attributed to the Itel A70 in India, leaving these details from the reports in the realm of speculation. However, the company recently unveiled a variant of the Itel A05s smartphone in the country, featuring a 4GB+64GB RAM and storage configuration, priced at Rs. 6,099. This launch came after the initial introduction of the phone in India two months earlier, which offered 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, showcasing the brand’s commitment to providing diverse options catering to varying user needs.
