However, just ahead of the official launch, comprehensive renders alongside detailed specifications of both the Asus ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro have surfaced online. Anticipated features include a spacious 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display and robust 5,500mAh battery units, with the Asus ROG Phone 8 already confirmed to operate on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
According to a report by Windows Report, leaked renders purportedly showcase the Asus ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro sporting a distinctive boxy design, adorned with a hole punch display and notably slender bezels. These images hint at a design ethos akin to the preceding ROG Phone 7 series, featuring a vertically arranged squared-shaped camera module adorning the rear. Furthermore, the handsets spotlight the iconic ROG logo embellished with RGB lights, exuding a gaming-centric aesthetic. Reports suggest that these devices will be available in a rebel grey color variant, catering to users seeking a distinctive gaming phone experience.

Asus ROG Phone 8 series is said to ship with Android 14 with ROG UI and feature a 6.78 full-HD+ AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The display on the ROG Phone 8 Pro is said to deliver up to 165Hz refresh rate, and HDR10 support. The leak suggests Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC on the upcoming gaming phones, however, this has already been confirmed by Asus. The vanilla model is said to pack up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the Pro model is said to come with 16GB and 24GB RAM options with 512GB and 1TB storage options.
