Honor is set to make a global splash with the imminent launch of the Honor Magic 6 series and the Honor Magic V2 lineup in February. The grand unveiling is scheduled to take place at the prestigious Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 event in Barcelona, as confirmed by the Chinese company on Monday, January 29.

The Honor Magic 6 and Honor Magic 6 Pro, having made their debut in China earlier this month, are poised to showcase their prowess to a wider international audience. These cutting-edge smartphones run on the MagicOS 8.0 skin based on Android 14 and are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, promising a seamless and powerful user experience.

Adding an extra layer of excitement to the launch event is the introduction of the Honor Magic V2 RSR, a Porsche Design branded variant of the Magic V2 foldable phone. The official announcement on X (formerly Twitter) revealed that the global unveiling is scheduled for February 25 at 2:00 pm CET (6:30 pm IST) in Barcelona, inviting enthusiasts to “discover the magic.”

Earlier showcased in the Chinese market, the Honor Magic 6 series and Honor Magic V2 RSR have already made waves with their impressive features and specifications. The Honor Magic 6, with a starting price of CNY 4,399 (approximately Rs. 50,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, and the Honor Magic 6 Pro, priced at CNY 5,699 (roughly Rs. 65,000) for the base 12GB + 256GB model, have set the stage for a global reception.

 

 

These smartphones boast the latest MagicOS 8.0 skin based on Android 14, ensuring a modern and feature-rich user interface. Powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, they feature an LTPO OLED display and an advanced triple rear camera setup. The Honor Magic 6 Pro stands out with a remarkable 180-megapixel periscope sensor, while the regular Honor Magic 6 model impresses with a 50-megapixel main sensor.

With substantial battery capacities of 5,450mAh for the Honor Magic 6 and 5,600mAh for the Pro model, coupled with IP68-rated dust and water resistance, these smartphones are poised to make a significant impact on the global market. The Honor Magic V2 RSR is a special version of the foldable smartphone with a distinct design from Porsche. The handset comes in Porsche Agate Grey shade and has 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 66W wired charging. The foldable phone has a 6.43-inch cover display and a 7.92-inch inner display. It has a triple rear camera setup, led by a 50-megapixel primary shooter.
