The HMD Skyline has been launched as the latest smartphone from Finnish manufacturer HMD (Human Mobile Devices), offering a sleek design reminiscent of the Lumia 920. This new device boasts a 6.55-inch pOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth visual experience.

Under the hood, the HMD Skyline is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM. One of its standout features is the triple rear camera setup, led by a 108-megapixel main camera, promising high-quality photography. Additionally, the Skyline is designed with repairability in mind, allowing users to easily replace the screen using iFixit’s self-repair kits. The device is equipped with a 4,600mAh battery, supporting both wired and magnetic wireless charging.

 

 

HMD Skyline Price and Availability

The HMD Skyline is available in two configurations: the base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at EUR 399 (roughly Rs. 36,000), while the higher-end model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is priced at EUR 499 (roughly Rs. 45,000). The smartphone is offered in two striking colour options, Neon Pink and Twisted Black, and is available for purchase in select markets.

Running on Android 14, the dual SIM (Nano+eSIM) HMD Skyline is confirmed to receive OS updates for two years and security updates for three years, ensuring longevity in terms of software support. The 6.55-inch full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) pOLED display offers a 20:9 aspect ratio and a peak brightness of up to 1000 nits, making it well-suited for both indoor and outdoor use. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, adding a layer of durability. The device’s storage can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card, catering to users with extensive storage needs
