Swedish pole vault sensation Mondo Duplantis dazzled spectators at Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich by running 100 meters in 10.37 seconds, narrowly defeating Norwegian 400-meter hurdler Karsten Warholm, who clocked a personal best of 10.47 seconds. The exhibition race, held alongside the Diamond League meet, showcased the impressive versatility of both athletes. Their performances would have been sufficient to advance from the preliminary round of the 100 meters at the upcoming Paris Olympics. Following the race, Duplantis expressed his excitement, while Warholm acknowledged Duplantis’s superior start and performance. Both athletes are set to return to their primary events, with Warholm expected to compete in his usual 400-meter hurdles and Duplantis continuing his pole vaulting pursuits.
