OnePlus Ace 3 Leaks Reveal Key Specs and Color Choices, Hinting at a Global Launch as OnePlus 12R

OnePlus Ace 3 Teaser: Expected to Run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, Fueling Anticipation for High-Performance Capabilities

As anticipation builds for the imminent launch of the OnePlus Ace 3 in China, several leaks and rumors have been circulating, shedding light on potential details of the device. While OnePlus is yet to officially confirm any specifics, recent leaks suggest that the global variant of the device might be introduced as the OnePlus 12R, following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the OnePlus 11R.

According to a Weibo post by the reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus Ace 3 is poised to feature a 6.78-inch BOE X1 8T LTPO curved display with an impressive resolution of 1.5K (2,780 x 1,264 pixels). The display specifications include a global peak brightness of 1,600 nits, a peak local brightness of 4,500 nits, and a PWM dimming rate of 2,160Hz. This information aligns with earlier leaks from the same source.

The tipster further disclosed that the OnePlus Ace 3 would boast a glass body and a metallic middle frame, adding a touch of premium build to the device. In terms of color options, the smartphone is expected to be available in three distinct choices: blue, grey, and pink. Additionally, another reliable tipster, Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), hinted at a potential green color option for the global variant of the OnePlus Ace 3, expected to launch as the OnePlus 12R outside of China. Notably, this rumored global variant is anticipated to mirror the features of its Chinese counterpart, promising a cohesive and feature-rich experience for users worldwide.

The OnePlus Ace 3 has been previously tipped to carry a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and a 5,500mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging support. The handset is likely to ship with Android 13 and come with up to 16GB of RAM.

Other leaks have also suggested that the OnePlus Ace 3, and the global variant OnePlus 12R, is expected to sport a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support, an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32-megapixel telephoto shooter at the back. It is said to come with a 16-megapixel front camera.

Meanwhile, the OnePlus 12 was unveiled in China earlier this month. The phone features a 6.82-inch quad-HD+ (1,440 x 3,168 pixels) LTPO OLED screen with a peak brightness level of 4,500 nits and a PWM dimming rate of 2,160Hz. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and packs a 5,400mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging support.
