MediaTek has officially launched the Dimensity 6400 chipset, aimed at providing affordable smartphones with enhanced performance. Serving as a refreshed version of the 2024 Dimensity 6300, the new chipset features slightly faster performance cores, offering users better processing power. This follows a trend, as the Dimensity 6300 itself was a rebranded version of the older Dimensity 6100+ from 2023. The Dimensity 6400 is built on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s (TSMC) advanced 6nm process technology, ensuring improved energy efficiency and performance. Key features of the chip include support for 108-megapixel cameras, 120Hz Full-HD displays, and 5G connectivity, making it a compelling choice for budget-friendly smartphones.

The MediaTek Dimensity 6400 is an octa-core processor built using 6nm technology. It combines two Arm Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2GHz, offering solid performance for mid-range devices.
