BenQ W2720i AI 4K HDR Projector Launched in India with Android TV
BenQ has launched its W2720i AI home cinema projector in India, catering to consumers looking for a premium cinematic experience at home. The projector boasts 4K UHD output, with support for vibrant and accurate colours thanks to its 4 LED (RGBB) lamp that provides a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours. With BenQ’s proprietary CinematicColor technology, the W2720i is capable of achieving up to 90 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, ensuring vivid and true-to-life visuals. Additionally, it runs on Android TV OS, offering seamless streaming from services like Disney+ and Netflix.
The BenQ W2720i is priced at Rs. 3,50,000 in India and will be available for purchase starting in April through select retail AVSI (Audio Visual Systems Integration) partners. The projector comes in a sleek black color option, making it a stylish addition to any home theatre setup.
In terms of specifications, the BenQ W2720i is equipped with a powerful 2,500 ANSI lumens lamp that can project 4K UHD (3840×2160 pixels) content at 60Hz, with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It supports multiple HDR video formats including HDR10+, HDR-Pro, and HLG, ensuring excellent picture quality across various content types. With the ability to project a 120-inch screen from just 2.7 meters away, and a 1.3x zoom feature, it offers flexibility for different room sizes. Users can manually adjust the picture with the 8-point Corner Fit feature, or rely on the Auto Screen Fit for a hassle-free setup. The projector also features Vertical Lens Shift to further optimize screen alignment.
The BenQ W2720i is designed with advanced visual enhancements such as AI Cinema Mode, which adapts colours based on the scene and surrounding environment, as well as Filmmaker Mode, which preserves the creator’s original vision by eliminating HDR post-processing. Additionally, the projector includes 11 levels of white balance control for precise colour temperature tuning, offering an optimal viewing experience for movies, TV shows, and streaming content.
