Vivo X Fold 6 Reportedly Clears Indonesian Certification, Global Debut May Be Approaching
Vivo appears to be preparing the X Fold 6 for international markets following its debut in China earlier this year. The book-style foldable smartphone has reportedly been spotted on Indonesia’s SDPPI certification database, a development that often signals an upcoming regional or global launch. While the certification does not reveal any hardware details, it suggests that Vivo could soon expand the availability of its latest foldable beyond its home market.
The Vivo X Fold 6 is listed on the Indonesian SDPPI platform with the model number V2559. The same model number has also surfaced in the European EEC certification database, further fueling speculation that the company is preparing the handset for multiple international markets. However, neither certification provides information about the device’s specifications or launch timeline.
If Vivo follows its usual strategy, the global version is expected to retain the same hardware as the Chinese model. The Vivo X Fold 6 features an 8.02-inch foldable display, a Zeiss-tuned rear camera system, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super chipset, and a large 7,000mAh battery. These specifications position it as Vivo’s latest premium foldable smartphone aimed at competing in the high-end segment.
The Vivo X Fold 6 was introduced in China in June with a starting price of CNY 7,999 (roughly Rs. 1,11,000) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. It is available in Blue Hole, Polar Night, and Salt Lake color options. Although Vivo has not officially confirmed a global launch, the recent certification listings indicate that an international announcement could be made in the near future.
