Vivo Y500 Pro Set to Launch With Dimensity 7400 SoC, Key Specs Revealed
Vivo is gearing up to launch the Vivo Y500 Pro in China next week, building on the success of the Vivo Y500 that debuted in September. While the Y500 featured a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, up to 12GB RAM, and 512GB of storage, the new Pro variant is expected to bring a significant performance boost. Recent Geekbench listings suggest the Y500 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, marking a notable upgrade over its predecessor.
The company officially confirmed that the Vivo Y500 Pro will launch on November 10 at 7pm local time (4:30pm IST) via a post on Weibo. The teaser poster highlights a circular, slightly raised rear camera module placed at the center, set against a golden marbled back finish, giving the handset a premium aesthetic compared to the base Y500 model.

Display and gaming enthusiasts can look forward to a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution, capable of handling 120fps HD gameplay for popular MOBA titles. This positions the Y500 Pro as a strong contender in the mid-range gaming segment. On the software front, the device will ship with Android 16 and OriginOS 6, making it the first non-flagship Vivo phone to feature the latest interface.
Other details, such as battery capacity, charging speeds, and camera specifications, have not been fully revealed yet, but Vivo’s teasers indicate that the Y500 Pro will maintain a balance of performance, design, and user experience, appealing to gamers and general users alike. The device is expected to arrive in multiple storage configurations and colorways, continuing Vivo’s trend of offering flexible options for mid-range buyers.
