iPhone 16 series is expected to succeed the iPhone 15 lineup which was launched in September 2023. The series included four models – the base iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The upcoming series has previously been suggested to feature larger displays, alongside other improved specifications. Complete dimensions of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models have been earlier suggested. A new report reiterates that the iPhone 16 Pro models are expected to carry larger screens than preceding models.

A previous report hinted that the iPhone 16 Pro Max model might debut with the ‘Ultra’ branding for the first time in the lineup’s history. Additionally, both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to be equipped with tetraprism telephoto lenses, similar to the one found in the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
All iPhone 16 models are rumored to be powered by in-house A18 chipsets and will run on the iOS 18 operating system. Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman also suggests the inclusion of a new dedicated button, the ‘Capture Button,’ for video recording in the upcoming iPhone 16 models. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models are also expected to feature the Action Button, currently exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro models.
