Microsoft will soon introduce new artificial intelligence (AI) features aimed at assisting users who struggle with writing prompts or achieving desired results from its Copilot chatbot. On Wednesday, the tech giant announced several new features designed to enhance Copilot’s functionality, including auto-complete, rewrite, and catch-up. Additionally, Microsoft is developing a Copilot Lab feature to help organizations create tailor-made prompts for their specific needs.

In a blog post by Microsoft and its subsidiary LinkedIn, the companies highlighted AI’s impact on the workplace. The post shared various reports and statistics demonstrating how AI is creating new jobs and encouraging professionals to upskill and switch careers to enter the AI field. It also detailed the new features Microsoft is developing to assist users who find prompt writing challenging.

Microsoft explained the issue, stating, “For many, staring down that empty prompt box feels like facing a blank page: Where should I even start? Today, we’re announcing Copilot for Microsoft 365 innovations to help our customers answer that question.” The auto-complete feature will assist users by predicting and completing sentences as they type, while the rewrite feature will help refine and enhance user inputs for better results.

The catch-up feature will provide personal insights based on recent activity, allowing users to quickly get up to speed on ongoing projects and conversations. This aims to streamline workflows and improve productivity by ensuring that users are always informed and prepared.

Copilot Lab, another upcoming feature, will enable organizations to develop custom prompts tailored to their unique workflows and requirements. This will allow businesses to maximize the benefits of AI by creating more relevant and effective interactions with the Copilot chatbot.

Overall, these new features reflect Microsoft’s commitment to making AI more accessible and useful for users across various industries, helping them overcome common challenges and improve their overall experience with AI-powered tools.
