Enso, with $6M in seed funding, aims to introduce AI agents to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs)

Running a small business means maximizing efficiency with limited resources. AI agents can be invaluable, yet creating tailored agents for specific workflows remains a complex task, even with today’s low-code/no-code tools. Enso, spearheaded by Mickey Haslavsky, co-founder of API development platform RapidAPI, aims to address this challenge. Recently emerging from stealth with a $6 million seed funding round, Enso is focused on providing small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) access to a diverse array of preprogrammed AI agents designed to handle repetitive tasks.

Enso specializes in industry-specific agents that assist businesses in tasks ranging from managing SEO efforts and engaging with followers on Instagram, to monitoring competitors, crafting newsletters, handling invoices, and optimizing Amazon storefronts. With tailored solutions across over 70 different industries, from accounting firms to automotive dealerships, Enso offers more than 1,000 bots in its repertoire.

Haslavsky shared with me that his inspiration for Enso stemmed from his parents’ experiences running a small music production company and a secondary school. He emphasized that, similar to his previous venture RapidAPI, Enso is fundamentally focused on integrations.

“As I delved into the AI agent space, I recognized a few things. Firstly, if done right, AI agents can bridge the gap between small and large businesses by offering scalable services atop existing software platforms, which is where integrations play a crucial role,” he explained. “Secondly, I realized the current state of AI agents is flawed. Many are unreliable and don’t deliver as promised. Thirdly, from a business standpoint, this presents a significant opportunity. Automating services that traditionally cost $1,000 per month when outsourced to agencies can be game-changing.”
