Vivo G3 5G Debuts with Dimensity 6300 Chipset and 6,000mAh Battery: Price, Specs

Vivo G3 5G officially launches, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset.

Vivo has officially expanded its G-series lineup with the launch of the Vivo G3 5G in China. The smartphone arrives as the successor to the Vivo G2 5G, which debuted in January 2024, and carries forward the series’ focus on delivering reliable performance at a mid-range price point. The new model sports a 6.74-inch display, is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, and houses a large 6,000mAh battery. With a single rear camera setup, the Vivo G3 5G keeps its design minimal yet practical for everyday use.

In terms of pricing, the Vivo G3 5G is positioned as an affordable 5G-ready option in China. The base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs. 18,300), while the higher configuration with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 24,300). For now, the device has been announced only in China, and Vivo has yet to confirm details about its global availability. The smartphone is being offered in a sleek Diamond Black finish.

The Vivo G3 5G also emphasizes durability, as it carries SGS five-star drop-resistance certification, making it sturdier against accidental falls. The highlight remains its massive 6,000mAh battery, which Vivo claims will retain good health for up to five years. Supporting 44W fast charging, the phone ensures users can power up quickly despite its large battery size.

With its combination of durability, long-lasting battery, and a dependable 5G chipset, the Vivo G3 5G looks set to appeal to buyers who prioritize endurance and balanced performance. However, global consumers will have to wait for Vivo to announce whether the device will make its way outside the Chinese market.
