Vivo Y31d Tipped to Launch Soon With 7,200mAh Battery, India Release Unlikely

Vivo Y31d Expected to Arrive With IP69+ Dust and Water Resistance.

Vivo has begun teasing a new addition to its Y-series lineup, the Vivo Y31d, with its debut confirmed in Vietnam. Ahead of the official launch, the company has highlighted several design cues and durability-centric features, positioning the device as a rugged yet stylish smartphone. The handset was also recently spotted on the Eurofins certification platform, lending credibility to the early specifications now being shared. While Vivo earlier launched the Y31 5G and Y31 Pro 5G in India, the Y31d may follow a different regional rollout strategy.

Early teasers indicate that the Vivo Y31d will be equipped with a massive 7,200mAh BlueVolt battery, offering a rated capacity of 7,060mAh. This large battery is expected to be paired with 44W fast charging support, aiming to deliver extended usage with quicker top-ups. The battery details align with information previously surfaced through certification listings, suggesting a strong focus on endurance.

Durability appears to be a major highlight of the upcoming smartphone. Vivo has confirmed that the Y31d will carry an IP69+ rating for dust and water resistance, along with SGS 5-Star Premium certification and compliance with MIL-STD-810H standards. On the software front, the device is set to run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 straight out of the box, offering the latest features and security enhancements.

Design-wise, the Vivo Y31d sports a patterned rear panel and a squircle-shaped camera island. The module houses two camera sensors, an LED flash, and a ring light, giving it a distinctive look. Although Vivo has not officially detailed the camera hardware, leaks suggest the phone could be powered by a Snapdragon 685 chipset. According to tipster Paras Guglani, the Vivo Y31d may launch in January 2026 and is unlikely to make its way to the Indian market, though Vivo has yet to confirm availability beyond Vietnam.
