The iQoo Neo 9 Pro, initially unveiled in China alongside the iQoo Neo 9 in December 2023, boasts impressive specs such as the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, a robust 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup, a sizable 5,160mAh battery with rapid 120W wired charging, and a vibrant 6.78-inch AMOLED display. It has now been confirmed for an imminent launch in India.

iQoo India recently teased the handset’s arrival in February, although the specific launch date remains undisclosed. The promotional image shared by the company showcased the device in its striking red and white dual-tone color scheme, hinting at a possible continuation of similar hardware and software specifications from its Chinese counterpart. Earlier leaks indicated the likelihood of the iQoo Neo 9 Pro’s Indian variant being equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, mirroring the configuration of the base iQoo Neo 9 model in China.

The pricing details for the iQoo Neo 9 Pro in India are yet to surface. However, in China, the device comes in color variants like Fighting Black, Nautical Blue, and Red and White Soul, with prices starting from CNY 2,999 (about Rs. 35,100) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. The higher configurations of 16GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB are listed at CNY 3,299 (about Rs. 38,600), CNY 3,599 (about Rs. 42,100), and CNY 3,999 (about Rs. 46,800) respectively. The RAM and storage configurations and color choices for the Indian market are yet to be revealed.

 

 

iQoo Neo 9 Pro specifications

Specifications-wise, the Chinese model of the iQoo Neo 9 Pro flaunts a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,800 x 1,260 pixels, a high 144Hz refresh rate, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and HDR10+ support. Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC coupled with an Immortalis-G720 GPU. This variant offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 onboard storage. The device operates on Android 14-based OriginOS right out of the box and supports dual nano-SIM functionality.

In the camera department, the iQoo Neo 9 Pro carries a 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 50-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens at the back. The front camera is equipped with a 16-megapixel sensor. The handset packs a 5,160mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support. It also supports 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, OTG, GPS, Beidou, Galileo, QZSS, NFC and USB Type-C connectivity. For security, it gets an in-display fingerprint sensor.
