Apple Expands Presence in Bengaluru with Opening of 15-Storey Office at Minsk Square, Set to Accommodate 1,200 Employees
Versatile Hub: Bengaluru Office to Host Apple Employees Engaged in Software, Hardware, Services, IS&T, Operations, and Customer Support Roles
Apple has announced the opening of a new office in Bengaluru, as part of its ongoing expansion efforts in India. Situated at Minsk Square in the heart of the city, this 15-storey office is designed to accommodate up to 1,200 employees.
Emphasizing sustainability, the office operates entirely on 100 percent renewable energy and incorporates locally sourced materials like stone, wood, and fabric for its walls and flooring. The premises also feature native plants, contributing to its eco-friendly design.
Located near prominent landmarks such as Vidhana Soudha, the high court, and Chinnaswamy cricket stadium, the Bengaluru office provides convenient access to public transport, including the nearby Cubbon Park metro station. This new addition complements Apple’s existing facilities in Gurugram, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
Apple’s Bengaluru office is intended to serve a variety of functions, spanning software development, hardware design, services, information systems and technology (IS&T), operations, and customer support. The building is equipped with dedicated workspaces, collaborative areas, and wellness facilities to enhance the overall work environment.
With approximately 3,000 employees in India, this strategic move aligns with Apple’s commitment to sustainable practices. The company aims to achieve a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum rating for the new building, further solidifying its dedication to environmental responsibility.
Since 2018, all of Apple’s facilities have been powered by renewable energy, and its corporate operations achieved carbon neutrality two years later.
