Asus is gearing up to unveil the ROG Ally X in the coming weeks, and details of this next-generation handheld gaming console have already surfaced online ahead of its official launch. Positioned as an update rather than a direct successor to the first-generation ROG Ally, the ROG Ally X promises several significant hardware enhancements based on leaked specifications. Key among these upgrades are a larger battery and increased memory bandwidth, aiming to elevate the device’s performance and user experience.

Expected Specifications of Asus ROG Ally X According to a report from VideoCardz, the Asus ROG Ally X will feature a substantial upgrade in battery capacity, boasting an 80Whr unit. This enhancement addresses a common user concern with its predecessor, which was criticized for its relatively short battery life due to its 40Whr battery capacity.

In terms of memory, the ROG Ally X is set to impress with 24GB of LPDDR5 RAM, a notable increase from the 16GB found in the original ROG Ally. This upgrade not only expands the device’s multitasking capabilities but also enhances overall performance. Additionally, the memory bandwidth is expected to jump to 7,500MHz, up from 6,400MHz seen in the current model, ensuring smoother gameplay and faster data access.

The Asus ROG Ally X aims to cater to gamers looking for extended gaming sessions without compromising on performance or battery life. These improvements underscore Asus’s commitment to addressing user feedback and pushing the boundaries of mobile gaming technology.

The upcoming launch of the ROG Ally X marks Asus’s continued innovation in the gaming console market, offering enthusiasts and gamers alike a compelling blend of power, efficiency, and enhanced gaming experience. As anticipation builds, enthusiasts await further details and confirmation of these leaked specifications, eager to see how Asus will redefine the handheld gaming experience with its latest offering.

According to the report the ROG Ally X will be equipped with the same AMD Ryzen Z1 Ultimate APU that powers the first-generation ROG Ally. Similarly, the 7-inch full-HD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate will be retained on the upcoming device.

Asus will also replace the fan from the first-generation ROG Ally with one that is 23 percent smaller and features fins that are 50 percent thinner than their predecessor, leading to a 10 percent improvement in airflow on the upcoming ROG Ally X.
