Exclusive: Xiaomi 14 Ultra Titanium Special Edition with Up to 1TB Storage on the Horizon, Reports Suggest

Variety of Storage Choices: Xiaomi 14 Ultra to Offer 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB Options in China

With Xiaomi’s highly anticipated global launch event for the Xiaomi 14 series slated for February 25, anticipation is at an all-time high, especially with murmurs of the impending release of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. While Xiaomi has yet to officially confirm the existence of this device, recent reports suggest that it will boast a Titanium special edition variant. Notably, Xiaomi already offers a Titanium edition of the Xiaomi 14 Pro in China, featuring a Titanium frame and distinct color options, albeit with similar features as the standard model. Meanwhile, details regarding the global variant of the vanilla Xiaomi 14 have surfaced on the EMVCo website, shedding light on its specifications.

According to insights from 91Mobiles, Xiaomi is gearing up to introduce a Titanium special edition for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, with standard variants featuring metal frames to maintain competitive pricing. Notably, Titanium has gained traction in flagship smartphone designs, with both Apple and Samsung incorporating it into their latest iPhone 15 Pro and Galaxy S24 Ultra models, respectively. In a nod to its commitment to premium materials, Xiaomi had previously offered a Titanium Edition of the Xiaomi 14 Pro, characterized by a matte titanium alloy side.

In terms of storage options, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is rumored to offer three variants in China: 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB, providing users with ample flexibility to choose the configuration that best suits their needs. As the countdown to the global launch event continues, Xiaomi enthusiasts eagerly await further details and official confirmation regarding the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s features and availability.

Separately, the Xiaomi 14 global variant was spotted on the EMVCo certification website. The listing suggests that the handset will ship with Android 14-based HyperOS 1.0 and NFC support.

 

 

The global release of the Xiaomi 14 series will take place on February 25 in Barcelona. The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro handsets were launched in China in October with an initial price tag of CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 50,000) and CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs. 56,500), respectively.

The Xiaomi 14 series runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and has a HyperOS interface. They feature LTPO OLED displays with up to 2K resolution and 120Hz dynamic refresh rate. They flaunt a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, and have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro houses a 4,880mAh battery with 20W charging support and 50W wireless charging support. The Xiaomi 14 has a 4,610mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging support, and 10W wireless reverse charging.
