Honor is gearing up for the grand unveiling of the Honor X9b 5G in India on February 15, coinciding with the launch of the Honor Choice X5 earphones and Honor Choice Watch. Ahead of this highly anticipated event, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has treated enthusiasts with a series of teasers, offering insights into the smartphone’s key specifications and available color variants. The Honor X9b 5G is set to be powered by the robust Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, promising seamless performance. Adding to its allure is the hefty 5,800mAh battery unit, ensuring prolonged usage without the need for frequent recharges.
In a press release issued on Tuesday (February 6), Honor unveiled comprehensive details about the Honor X9b 5G, including its remarkable battery prowess. The smartphone’s battery is touted to deliver an impressive 18 hours of calling time, up to 12 hours of gaming time, and a staggering 19 hours of video playback on a single charge, or alternatively, three days of uninterrupted usage. Remarkably, it is said to retain 80 percent of its capacity even after undergoing 1,000 charge cycles, earning it the coveted Gold battery label from DXOMark.
The Honor X9b 5G is slated to run on the latest Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2, boasting a plethora of customized and enhanced features for an enriched user experience. Under the hood, the device will house Qualcomm’s cutting-edge 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, coupled with a generous 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. Moreover, users can expand the onboard memory by up to 20GB through the innovative virtual RAM feature, ensuring ample space for all their digital content and multitasking needs.
The Honor X9b 5G is teased to come in Midnight Black and Sunrise Orange shades in India. It seems to have a design inspired by high-end watches. The camera module features a dual-ring design.
The launch of Honor X9b 5G will take place on February 15 in India. The Honor Choice Earbuds X5 and Honor Choice Watch will also make their debut in the country on the same day.
Honor initially unveiled the Honor X9b 5G in select global markets including Malaysia and UAE last year. The Indian variant of the handset is expected to retain the 6.78-inch 1.5K (1,200 x 2,652 pixels) AMOLED screen and 108-megapixel triple rear camera setup seen on the global variant. It is likely to offer support for 35W wired fast charging.
