Leaked Details Hint at Google Pixel 8a: Potential Price Increase and Storage Options Revealed

Rumors surrounding the Google Pixel 8a have been gaining momentum, hinting at a potential release slated for May following the launch of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro last October. Initially anticipated as a mid-range offering, recent reports suggest that the Pixel 8a could command a higher price tag compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 7a, particularly within the European Union.

Notably, the Pixel 8a is rumored to offer storage options of 128GB and 256GB, catering to varying user needs and preferences. Additionally, it is speculated to debut in four distinct colorways, adding a touch of personalization to the user experience.

According to a report by Winfuture.de, the Pixel 8a is purported to start at EUR 570 (approximately Rs. 51,000) for the base variant with 128GB of storage, while the 256GB variant may retail for EUR 630 (roughly Rs. 56,000). If these leaked pricing details hold true, it would signify a notable increase from the launch price of the Pixel 7a, which debuted at EUR 499 (about Rs. 45,000).

Google is believed to announce the Pixel 8a at its I/O event sometime in May. It is said to feature a 6.1-inch display with 90Hz refresh rate and could run on Google’s Tensor G3 SoC alongside 8GB of RAM. The handset may include a 5,000mAh battery with support for 27W wired fast charging. It is said to measure 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9mm.
