Leaked Model Numbers Reveal Upcoming Nothing Phones Spotted on IMEI Website

Nothing is reportedly preparing to launch the Nothing Phone 3 as the successor to the Phone 2 next year. Although official details about the launch are yet to be revealed, there have been recent sightings of three unannounced Nothing smartphones in the IMEI database. These listings provide model numbers and possible codenames for the upcoming devices, suggesting that Nothing is expanding its lineup with the Phone 3 series and a follow-up to its CMF Phone 1.

According to a report by SmartPrix, three mysterious Nothing phones were discovered in the IMEI database with the model numbers A001, A059, and A059P. Based on previous naming conventions, it is speculated that the A059 model belongs to the Nothing Phone 3a, while A059P could be the Plus variant of the Phone 3a. The “P” suffix typically designates the Plus version in Nothing’s product range, implying that the company plans to offer a slightly upgraded version of the Phone 3a.

Additionally, the report suggests that the model number A001 could correspond to the CMF Phone 2, a successor to the CMF Phone 1, which was part of Nothing’s more affordable line. The codename for the Nothing Phone 3a is believed to be “asteroids,” with the Phone 3a Plus and CMF Phone 2 possibly carrying the codenames “asteroids_plus” and “galaga,” respectively. These names provide a glimpse into the future of Nothing’s product lineup, hinting at a more expansive portfolio in 2024.

While the listing on the IMEI database doesn’t confirm all the features or specifications of these devices, it does offer some insight into what we can expect from Nothing in the coming months. With multiple models in development, the company seems poised to deliver a range of smartphones catering to different market segments, from budget-friendly options to flagship successors.
