Moto G Play (2024) made its debut in select North American markets on January 16, succeeding its predecessor from 2023. Although the company has yet to confirm an India launch, the smartphone packs notable upgrades, featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset and a robust 5,000mAh battery. Equipped with a centred hole-punch slot, it boasts a 50-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. The device runs on Android 13 straight out of the box, offering a smooth and updated user experience.

As for its pricing, the Moto G Play (2024) comes in a single Sapphire Blue variant with a price tag of $149.99 (approximately Rs. 12,500) for the 4GB + 64GB configuration. Scheduled to hit the shelves in the US on February 8 through various channels, including Amazon.com, Best Buy, and Motorola.com, the phone will be available in Canada starting January 26. With a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display featuring a 90Hz refresh rate, the smartphone promises an enhanced visual experience protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device ensures smooth performance, thanks to the Snapdragon 680 SoC, and provides ample storage with 64GB inbuilt memory, expandable virtually up to 6GB.

For optics, the Moto G Play (2024) features a single 50-megapixel camera sensor, something that is quite unusual these days.
