At the much-anticipated Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, OnePlus introduced the next iteration of its smartwatch lineup with the unveiling of the OnePlus Watch 2. Building upon the foundation laid by its predecessor, the 2021 OnePlus Watch, this latest offering comes packed with a host of enhancements designed to elevate the user experience. A standout feature of the OnePlus Watch 2 is its impressive battery life, boasting up to 100 hours in Smart Mode and extending up to an impressive 12 days in Power Saving Mode, while still facilitating fitness tracking capabilities. Leveraging a dual-engine architecture, the smartwatch operates on two distinct operating systems, ensuring seamless performance and enhanced functionality. Additionally, the inclusion of dual-frequency GPS connectivity further enhances location accuracy, catering to the needs of outdoor enthusiasts and fitness aficionados alike.

With a starting price of Rs. 24,999, the OnePlus Watch 2 is set to hit the shelves in select countries, with availability slated to commence on March 4. Under the hood, the OnePlus Watch 2 boasts a vibrant 1.43-inch round AMOLED display, delivering crisp visuals with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a 60Hz flash rate. Powering the OnePlus Watch 2 is a formidable combination of the Snapdragon W5 SoC and the BES2700 chipset. While the Snapdragon W5 facilitates the smooth operation of Wear OS apps, the BES2700 chipset runs RTOS, handling background activities and optimizing overall performance. This synergistic blend of hardware and software ensures seamless functionality and an intuitive user experience, cementing the OnePlus Watch 2’s position as a frontrunner in the competitive smartwatch market.

OnePlus Watch 2 users can also switch between the two OS’s – Wear OS 4 and RTOS. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Alongside the military-grade MIL-STD-810H build, the stainless steel chassis of the wearable comes with 5ATM and IP68 rating. The company has packed a large 500mAh battery in the OnePlus Watch 2 with support for 7.5W VOOC fast charging that is said to charge the watch from zero to 100 in 60 minutes. The watch is said to offer up to 48 hours of battery life with heavy usage, up to 100 hours of battery life in Smart Mode, and up to 12 days of battery life in Power Saver mode.

The smartwatch also carries an optical heart rate monitor, pulse oximeter sensor, and helps track sleep cycle and stress levels of users. It supports more than 11 professional and more than 100 sports modes. The OnePlus Watch 2 has L1+L5 GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C connectivity. Weighing 49g, the watch measures 47mm x 46.6mm x 12.1mm in size.
