OnePlus 12R users worldwide have started receiving a new OxygenOS 15 update, bringing enhanced features and security improvements. Initially, the stable OxygenOS 15 update was rolled out in November 2024, and this latest version builds upon it with additional functionalities such as Touch to Share and BeaconLink support. The OnePlus 12R, which was launched in India in January 2024, originally shipped with OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, the device is now set to deliver an improved software experience with this latest update.
OnePlus has confirmed in a community post that the new OxygenOS version 15.0.0.500 is rolling out to OnePlus 12R users across multiple regions, including India, Europe, and North America. The rollout is being conducted in batches, which means some users may receive the update sooner than others. Those who haven’t received a notification for the update yet can expect it to become available over the next few days as OnePlus completes the phased deployment.
One of the key highlights of this update is the introduction of Touch to Share, a feature designed to enable seamless data sharing between supported OnePlus devices. Additionally, the update brings BeaconLink support, which enhances connectivity options for compatible devices. Alongside these new features, users can expect general performance optimizations, security patches, and bug fixes aimed at improving overall stability and responsiveness.
It is important to note that this update is only available for users who have already upgraded to OxygenOS 15. If a OnePlus 12R device is still running OxygenOS 14, users will need to first install the OxygenOS 15 update before gaining access to version 15.0.0.500. With these new additions, OnePlus continues to refine the user experience, ensuring that its flagship-killer smartphones remain competitive with the latest software innovations.
