Oppo F25 Pro 5G to Sport 120Hz AMOLED Display: Confirmed Details

Oppo is gearing up to unveil its latest addition to the F series lineup with the Oppo F25 Pro 5G, set to debut in India later this month. The smartphone, positioned to cater to the sub-Rs. 25,000 price segment, is confirmed to hit the Indian market on February 29, boasting a striking Lava Red colour option. While this hue has been officially announced, speculation abounds regarding potential additional colour variants, with some reports hinting at the possibility of a blue finish, though no official confirmation has been provided thus far.

The Oppo F25 Pro 5G is poised to make a statement in the realm of display technology, sporting a spacious 6.7-inch AMOLED display. Offering a buttery-smooth user experience, the display boasts an impressive 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring fluid visuals with every swipe and scroll.

Safeguarded by Panda Glass, this immersive display is touted to deliver a seamless viewing experience, boasting a remarkable 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio and a sleek thickness of just 7.54mm. The design aesthetic is further enhanced by the presence of a centrally-placed hole-punch cutout on the front, housing a high-resolution 32-megapixel lens dedicated to capturing stunning selfies and facilitating crisp video calls.

Photography enthusiasts will find much to admire in the Oppo F25 Pro 5G’s robust camera setup. The device flaunts a versatile triple rear camera array, comprising a potent 64-megapixel primary shooter, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens offering an expansive 112-degree field of vision, and a dedicated 2-megapixel macro camera for capturing intricate details up close.

This comprehensive camera system is primed to empower users to unleash their creativity and capture every moment with stunning clarity and detail, whether it’s sprawling landscapes or intricate close-ups.

Further, the Chinese smartphone brand claims that the camera will come with several artificial intelligence (AI)-powered features. One of them is AI Smart Image Matting that allows users to tap on a photo and extract the subject (or multiple subjects) as a transparent PNG that can be shared with another app. This feature is similar to the one available on iPhone since iOS 16. Apart from that, the smartphone also leverages AI in its beauty filters and portrait mode for more aesthetic results.

While other specifications were not mentioned, we do know more about the Oppo Reno 11F 5G, which is believed to be F25 Pro’s global variant. As per reports, it could be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB inbuilt storage. A leak also suggested that the phone would be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging support.
