PlayStation VR2 Makes Long-Awaited Debut in India: Officially Launched After 10 Months, Priced at Rs. 57,990.

Dual Offerings: PlayStation VR2 Hits the Indian Market with Standard and Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle Options.

Sony’s highly anticipated PlayStation VR2 has officially hit the Indian market after nearly 10 months since its launch in the US. Priced at Rs. 57,990, the standalone package includes the visor and Sense controllers. For those looking for an immersive gaming experience, the Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle is also available at Rs. 61,999, which includes a game code for the Horizon spin-off.

However, there appears to be limited stock available online, with only Amazon and e2z Store currently listing the headset for purchase, while other platforms offer pre-booking options or email notifications for availability.

The PlayStation VR2 catalog, featuring the Horizon Call of the Mountain game, is now accessible on the PlayStation Store, with the digital version priced at Rs. 3,999.

The game follows the character Ryas, a former Shadow Carja warrior, navigating the central part of the Sundom to unravel a mysterious plot using advanced tribal skills. The narrative intersects with series protagonist Aloy and other familiar characters, contributing to the expansion of the Horizon universe.

Major retailers such as Amazon, Croma, e2z Store, Flipkart, Games the Shop, Reliance Digital, Shop at SC, and Vijay Sales are expected to stock the PS VR2 soon. Amazon is currently offering a limited-time 8 percent discount, reducing the price to Rs. 54,990, aligning with the cost of the Blu-ray-equipped PS5 console.

While the PlayStation VR2 launch is undoubtedly exciting for virtual reality enthusiasts, concerns have been raised online regarding the delayed delivery of Spider-Man 2 Collector’s Edition orders in India. Players who pre-ordered this edition in June are yet to receive their orders, with Sony reportedly providing no official statement or resolution on this matter at the time of writing.
