Redmi Unveils 13R 5G Featuring MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC and Dual 50-Megapixel Cameras

Quietly making its debut in China, the Redmi 13R 5G has entered the budget-friendly smartphone arena with a focus on 5G connectivity. Strikingly similar to the recently unveiled Redmi 13C 5G in India, the 13R 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC, ensuring efficient performance. The device packs a robust 5,000mAh battery, catering to the need for prolonged usage.

Mirrorring the specifications of its counterpart, the Redmi 13R 5G boasts a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD panel, delivering vibrant visuals. The imaging capabilities are anchored by a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup, promising impressive photography experiences. The primary distinguishing factor between the two models lies in the design of the back panel.

Offered in a single configuration of 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, the Redmi 13R 5G presents itself in attractive color options such as Star Rock Black, Fantasy Purple, and Wave Water Green (translated from Chinese). Priced at CNY 999 (approximately Rs. 11,700) in China, the device seeks to deliver an affordable yet feature-rich smartphone experience.

 

 

Delving into the specifications, the Redmi 13R 5G hosts a 6.74-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, shielded by Gorilla Glass for added durability. Under the hood, it houses a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC coupled with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. Operating on Android 13-based MIUI 14, the Redmi 13R 5G combines performance and affordability for users seeking a reliable 5G-enabled smartphone.
